Gov. Bala Moh'd's Giant Stride on Education Transformation in Bauchi

The education sector in Bauch State under the leadership of Govemor Bala Mohammed bas seen significant inprovements and reforms aimed at enhancing the quality of education in the state. One of the key initiatives undertaken by the governor was the declaration of state of emergency on education, highlighting the importance of education in the development of the state.

This was followed by the organization of an educational summit that brought together educationists from across the country to discuss ways to improve the education sector in Bauchi State. One of the major achievements in the education sector under Governor Bala Mohammed's administration was the construction of 233 new classroom blocks, the renovation of 406 classrooms, and the provision of school furniture worth N5 billion.
This was made pessible through a joint effort between the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) and the State Universal Education Board (SUBEB) during the 2017-2018 intervention period.

Additionally, the administraticn was able to access an additional N3 billion in UBEC funding after fulfilling its counterpart funding obligations for the 2018-2019 itervention.
Furthermoe, the administration focused on upgrading three Model Primary Schools in three different local government areas Alkaleri, Dambam, and Itas-Gadau. These model schools were equipped with modern facilites such as classrooms labotatories, ICT centers, staff acommodation, computer centers, hcalth ccnters and administration blocks, This initiative aimed to provide quality education to students in these commanities and improve the overall learning environment.

In addition to infrastructure development, Governor Bala Mohammed's administration implemented various measures to address key issues in the education soctor. These included providing more access to out-of-scbool children, tackting WAEC racketeering. promoting teacher's welfare, reviewing the school curricalum, introducing biometric registers for teachers and enhancing teachers capacities, These initiatives were crucial in improving the quality of education and ensuring that students in Bauchi State receive a well-rounded education.
Also in a monumental step towards nevolutionizing the educational infrastructure, the State Government under the visonary leadership of Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, equipped the Examination Directorate with state of the art machinery, a brand new Kord Printing Machine and Polar Cuting Machine tools that promise to elevate service deiivery to unprecedented heights.
